513 multimedia classrooms are being opened in 171 more madrasas in March

In order to modernize and develop the Madrasa education based on technology, multimedia classrooms are being opened in 171 more madrasas of the country from March. Within February, the work of setting up a total of 513 multimedia classrooms will be completed in madrasas of Rajshahi and Chattogram divisions through the installation of smart TV, desktop computer, UPS, WiFi AG router, pen drive and so on. The project 'Establishment of Multimedia Classrooms in 653 Madrasas' will be completed when classes start in multimedia classrooms in these madrasas of Rajshahi and Chattogram divisions. Multimedia classrooms have been set up in 482 madrasas earlier under this scheme of Madrasa Education Department. A total of 653 madrasas will be added to modern and technology-based education if multimedia classrooms are set up in 171 more madrasas. According to sources, multimedia classrooms will be introduced in 60 madrasas in Rajshahi, Bogra, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Natore, Chapainawabganj, Pabna and Sirajganj districts of Rajshahi division. And apart from Brahmanbaria and Cumilla districts of Chattogram division, multimedia classrooms will be launched in 111 madrasas of Bandarban, Chandpur, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Feni, Khagrachari, Laxmipur, Noakhali and Rangamati districts. Project Director Taimur Rahman said that the implementation of this project started from November last year. The work of setting up multimedia classes in the remaining 171 madrassas will be completed by the end of February. Classes will be taught in multimedia classrooms from March.
